At peace with herself

Surrounded by insecurities and nervousness,
She thought she is totally worthless
She felt lonely and rejected,
For she couldn't think of anything that she has perfected


Then came the day when she realized,
That it is important to keep the hope alive
Slowly she started accepting herself,
Later cognizing that it wasn't really others who were being cynical
But it was her own self

With the positive attitude and the optimism that she now wears,
Wherever she goes it's only happiness and love that she shares
This doesn't mean she has accomplished everything in life,
But she has understood that it isn't about perfection but its about spice

Delightfully she now declares
That, "She is at peace with herself"
I respect her now all the more
cos with this attitude I can't help but only adore

I write this for you my dear friend, 

So that you know, that you've always helped me amend

You came to me like "An angel of God",
Since we met, everything looks good which once looked flawed

Though I don't remember the day we met,
But I know for sure that this relationship will never fret,
For you are the one who has always shown me the right way,
I owe you so much, I doubt if I'll ever be able to repay

I remember I was full of self-doubt,
Your presence helped me become a bit stout,
You showed me light and lifted me up,
Your friendship has always been to me like a golden cup

Having you by my side dear pal,
Seems to me like a treat royale,
I can't thank god enough for having me meet a friend like you
All I can say is that you are so far the sweetest person I knew

I hope to meet you some day,
However I have no clue what I will say,
I only know that I hope this,
To find out if you are the one for whom I have been waiting all this while,
To find if for you I rejected all the proposals in style.

I am sure you are happy in your own space,
Content with life and its pace,
But somewhere in my mind I know,
We would make a good pair, together who will grow.

The only thing I wanted to be certain is,
That you aren't among those who would run away without a whiz,
I aspire to walk with you,
To share my thoughts and my life with you,

But for that it is important for us to meet,
I wont mind even if it is on street :P
